This is about us being a house with three parts:

• The Fanatic in the attic is at the top of the house.
• Your soul realm is like the middle floor.
• Fella in the cellar is your mind realm.

The fanatic in the attic talks to us and gives us instructions, while the mind realm opposes the things that requires faith (because he operates in reason), and the soul in the middle has to choose who to listen to.
