Can't You Talk Louder, God? - Secrets to Hearing the Voice of God (Revised and Updated 2nd Edition) -- by Steve Shultz

This book really spoke to me. I guess I always expected that God would speak to me in an audible voice. But, God does speak to me, in His Word and a 'still, small voice. I just need to be listening more.

What are we looking for? Steve Shultz makes a strong case for long-term, continuing contact with God's Holy Spirit from our youth up. The difficulty is in knowing what to expect. Through the written prompts and nudges, I can see encouragements, helps, even total rescues in my past, which I had not formerly understood. We have not been schooled how to place these events into our limited perspectives, but they are real. Our opportunity is to identify these happenings and start thanking God for them, encourage the same in others around us, and free up more of the same much needed guidance. What is blessed and supported should continue to grow. We need that vision and we must learn how to walk in His Spirit!

This book has taught me how much God is talking to me, and it has also taught me to listen. It is unbelievable how much He is active in my life from reading this book. I would recommend this to anyone.

I couldn't put the book down. I read it in 2 days. It opened my eyes up completely to let me know that God has always been talking to me. I was so unaware of all the ways that He does speak to me until reading this book. I recommend it highly to everyone. If you think He's not talking to you, well read the book and you'll find out that He really is. He loves you and wants to be a part of your life.

I really enjoyed the book. It was easy to read and made a lot of sense.

When we think of hearing God speak, we think of how we hear another human. Hearing God - there are various ways to know what He is saying. This book is exploring these ways. This book is helping me understand more of these ways. Also why it is important to pray without ceasing and listen! I am becoming more aware of things God is saying to me. It is taking me time to digest the information shared in Steve’s book. I have much more to read and digest. Thanks for writing it Steve.

Encouraging, simplistic and to-the-point yet powerfully put together! Steve gives us much to think about the fundamentals and includes appropriate examples from his own experience.

3. “Can’t You TALK LOUDER Lord?” Is very good in that Steve Shultz writes like he’s talking to a friend. God, likewise talks to us like “to a friend”. HE uses many different forms of communication because we are all different and because He is a God of variety. We “are never to figure Him out”. A coincidence is usually “by Divine Design”. Now I that I’ve been shown how to tune in to God, I think He’s talking plenty loud enough; for it is I that needed to learn how to listen!

Absolutely the best book that has helped me hear God’s voice better! I’m so thankful for this book! Couldn’t recommend it more
