Description

A fresh insight to the area of dreams and interpretations is presented in this book. One of the ways God has been speaking to His people is in the overlooked area of dreams. God has always talked to His people in parables, and that is what dreams are . . . parables played out in the night season as we sleep.

You will learn how you can know if your dreams are from God and some techniques to help you understand the interpretation of your dreams.

FROM THE DESK OF STEVE SHULTZ

Joy Parrott's book, PARABLES IN THE NIGHT SEASONS, is the one of the single-best selling books we've ever carried. Wow! Last I heard, we've shipped over 5,000 copies out, from the ELIJAH LIST ALONE.

That should mean a lot, all by itself!

This book is for all those who dream (that's all of us), and also for all who want to know what those dreams mean (that's also all of us).

Blessings in THE NIGHT SEASON,

Steve Shultz

John Sandford: " Parables in the Night Seasons is the Best, Most Thoroughly Biblical Book on the Subject (of Dreams) I have Ever Read"

"Parables in the Night Seasons, subtitled 'Understanding Your Dreams', is the best, most thoroughly biblical book on the subject I have ever read, bar none, including my own chapters on dreams and visions! Joy combines practical common sense and high spirituality, deep insights and simple humility, in a teaching so clear and profound that I intend to make the book required reading for all of our prayer counselors in all our Elijah Houses, national and international, and in all our affiliates.

"Parrott parrots no one else - forgive the too obvious pun. Her insights are unique, while at the same moment consonant with the many dreamers of the Bible whom she quotes so deftly. Those who would learn to make sense of the often mysterious and confusing language of the world of dreams will find solid sign posts here that lead to growth in clear comprehension. Chapters Six, Seven and Eight, 'Watchman Dreams,' 'Pizza Dreams,' and 'Double Dreams,' are so valuable as alone to be worth more than the price of purchase and study. I can hardly wait for the sequel, Watchman, Watchman, What of the Night?

"This is that time in history in which God is raising His prophets for His end-time purposes. 'If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you' . . . Deuteronomy 13:1 makes it unequivocal that the Lord regards prophets and dreamers as one and the same. Unfortunately, the Body of Christ for the most part, has not yet grasped that. It is imperative that at least His prophets, and hopefully the entire Body, come to comprehend how important this aspect of prophets' equipment actually is, and that all His prophets become adept both in having their own dreams and in interpreting theirs and those of others. One can not read Parables in the Night Seasons without awakening to the need to go to sleep and dream. If for that reason alone, the book is timely and a valuable gift from the Lord for this time especially.

"Though filled with examples and stories, Parables . . . is not froth to be enjoyed and put down only to pick up the next exciting book. It ought to become a manual for study in all the Lord's various 'green trees' (training places for beginning prophets). It will become so in our Elijah House schools. Parables . . . is meant to be put to work. Its pages call us from ho-hum acceptance of our dreams into intercessory labor and warfare for our Lord. The Church cries out for watchmen to arise. Tragedies can be prevented. Blessings can be prayed in, lest His messenger angels languish on the way, inhibited by the 'princes of Persia' that need to be defeated. God wants listening ears, and He often prefers to speak to us through the medium of dream language. It behooves us, therefore, to study to be workmen that need not to be ashamed - or to miss the fervent callings of the Lord.

"I pray God may prosper both the sales and the effects of Parables in the Night Seasons, lest the night come when no man can work - or dream. May the Day of the Lord arise with healing in its wings (Malachi 4:1-3) - because we have learned to dream in the night!"
—John Loren Sandford, Co-Founder, Elijah House, Inc.

About the Author

Joy Parrott was radically saved in 1981 where she immediately experienced the presence of God with a joy, peace and strength she had never known before. God continued to show Himself to her powerfully as she personally witnessed divine healing of life threatening illnesses in her life as well as her children's.

At a powerful revival service in April of 1996, God miraculously healed her of an illness she had painfully suffered with for five months. At that time God spoke to her and told her He was sending her to bring healing and encouragement to the nations.

Since then, Joy has been traveling both nationally and internationally bringing forth God's messages with faith, love and the expectancy of the healing power of Jesus. She is gifted in prophecy, words of knowledge, interpretation of dreams, and is anointed for healing, and teaching.

In 1997, God gave Joy a mandate to wake up the body of Christ to the fact that God still speaks to His people in dreams! He has given her His heart to teach on dreams and interpretations which she continues to present in seminars. She has also written a book on dreams entitled, "Parables in the Night Seasons; Understanding Your Dreams."

Joy has been called a modern day "Joy-seph" as she has an anointing for and a God given authority to impart dreams and interpretations to His body with the laying on of hands.

Joy's heart is to allow the Holy Spirit total liberty and freedom as He flows through her to accomplish His goal. Her passion is to see God's children rise up to know the love of the Father, to recognize their gifts and callings and begin to take their rightful place in the body of Christ.

    revelation

Posted by Aileen on 21st Apr 2018

I have had significant dreams for years but this book identifies the difference between soul dreams and what I call significant dreams. I have learnt so much about dreams & Gods love language to us. The exciting thing is I had a dream nearly 20 years ago and I took it literally and never understood it. After reading this book the HS revealed the true meaning of this dream to me which of course didn’t make sense all those years ago! I’m on a new journey of discovery - thank you Joy

Agreat book to go with "Watchmen, Watchmen"

Posted by Phillip Norris on 9th Apr 2018

I've read "Watchmen, Watchmen, what of the night?' by Joy Parrott. It is a great pre-read book to "Parables in the night seasons. These two books are a must read. I am enjoying "Parables" now already near the end.

    Great resource for beginners

Posted by Unknown on 1st Mar 2018

I had never heard of Joy until I saw the ad for this book. Although I have other resources from trusted Christian leaders, this book offered insights I needed. It's straight-forward and easy to comprehend. I recommend it for anyone wanting to know how God speaks through dreams.

Hearing from God at a Higher Place

Posted by Linda Flanders on 27th Feb 2018

Our ladies group had been studying the 5 senses and hebrews 5:14. As we were getting thru Scripture on the senses, I found this book. I saw God preparing us with maturing senses to hear from God confidently in a new way! We have studied all this before, but Joy Parrot's book brought such order to the teaching. Simple answers to dream questions. As always, when teach on something, God moves in that area. Our favorite testimony is of a woman who says she never dreams, dreamed of her unsaved grown son carrying his Bible. He lived a distance from us and when she got word he had died, she found great comfort in her dream! Thankful for Joy Parrot book on dreams. It is the easiest book on dreams that I have ever read!
