When John was on the Isle of Patmos, in exile for the Gospel, he was visited by Jesus in all of His glory. Jesus commissioned His beloved John to give messages to each of the seven churches in Asia. Jesus Gives These Dramatic Promises to All Those Who Will Rise Up and Be an Overcomer:
- I will grant you to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.
- You will not be hurt by the second death.
- I will give you some of the hidden manna.
- I will give you a white stone, and a new name written on the stone which no one knows but the one who receives it.
- Anyone who overcomes, and keeps My deeds until the end, I will give authority over the nations to rule them with a rod of iron as the vessels of the potter are broken to pieces as I also have received authority from My Father; and I will give you the morning
star.
- You will be clothed in white garments.
- I will not erase your name from the book of life.
- I will confess your name before My Father and before His angels.
- I will make you a pillar in the temple of My God and you will not go out from it anymore.
- I will write on you the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name.
