| 1) How do I download my purchase? |

Once you purchase a download item, the link is stored in your ElijahShopper account. If you need to download your files again, follow these instructions EXACTLY anytime to insure a successful download... PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO STEP #5!
IMPORTANT! You MAY need a special application program for Apple devices, most smartphones, Amazon Kindle devices, or similar products. You can also download to your computer FIRST, and then transfer the file(s) to your device using the instructions for your device.
(1) Just login to your ElijahShopper account by visiting our store site (www.elijahshopper.com), then enter your login and password under the "Returning Customer" section.
(2) On the next page, click the tab at the top that says “My Account / Order Status”. Then, click “Review Orders / Track Packages”.
(3) Find the order with the item you wish to download (if it has been more than one month, make sure you open the menu and select the appropriate option from the list).
(4) Then click the link UNDER THE BLUE BUTTON that says "Download File(s)>>>" to access your purchase.
(5) MAKE SURE that you select the “SAVE” option, or the item will not be saved to your computer and you will have to repeat this process again every time you wish to access it.
(6) On the following screen, click the link AT THE TOP NEXT TO THE BLUE ARROW that says, "Click here to download the files you've purchased."
(7) Then, you will see a list of every downloadable item in your purchase. Click each one -- ONE at a time -- until the file is finished downloading to your computer, and repeat for any other items on the list. |
| 2) Why are some downloads in ZIP files, and how do I make them work? |

How to change ZIP files to MP3 files:
STEP ONE: IT'S NOT AN MP3 WHEN YOU FIRST DOWNLOAD IT! At this point you should have downloaded the files successfully. However, it is not yet an MP3 file, so you are not yet able to listen to them! Many download files from our online store do are sent to you as ZIP FILES. Zip files are compressed files that contain the MP3 data inside of them. This makes the files smaller so the download goes faster. However, both Macs and PCs have the ability to extract data from the zip files and place those files onto your desktop. The size of the files increase once they are extracted.
STEP TWO: EXTRACTING YOUR FILES Look for the .zip file that you downloaded. Once you locate it, click on the file -- just an ordinary double-click with the left button on a PC mouse, or a single click on a Mac. You should then see a window open with the MP3 files. Once you have those MP3 files on your desktop, simply click on them to listen to them. Your computer will use whatever media player (iTunes, Windows Media Player, etc.) you have set as your default. |
| 3) How do I download to my Apple portable device (iPhone, iPad, etc.)? |

Apple’s iPhone/iPad devices do not allow you to download any type of file directly unless you purchased them directly from Apple through your iTunes account, or if you have an app designed to extract ZIP files.
The good news is that you can still transfer Elijah List download files to your Apple device after you download them to your computer first.
All music, audio teaching messages and audio books that we offer are in MP3 format. There are 2 options available for you to download MP3 files:
(1) One option is to download your purchase to your computer and then import the downloaded files into your iTunes, THEN sync your iPhone/iPad with your iTunes to transfer the MP3 files to your device; or
(2) You can search the Apple App Store for an app that will allow you to download MP3 files directly to your iPhone or iPad.
All E-Books that we offer are in .pdf electronic format. You should have no problem downloading our e-book files as long as you have iBooks, which is Apple’s program to store and read e-books and magazines. The iPhone/iPad also supports viewing PDF files that are sent as attachments via email in the Mail application. Simply download the attachment, click to launch, and you can view the PDF. |
| 4) How do I download to my Android device? |

Many phones are not able to download zip files without an application. For Android-based devices, visit the Android Market and look for apps that can unzip files like our download items, such as the FREE Astro File Manager application.
It may be easier for you download to a computer first, unzip them, and then transfer the individual MP3 files to your phone. If you do not own a computer, you can download the file to the computer of a friend, relative, or even your public library first, and then transfer the MP3 files to your phone. |
| 5) Why won't my e-book print? |

Due to copyright and security features, many e-books on the market today do not allow you to PRINT or COPY & PASTE any portion of the book. The publisher of the e-book sets these restrictions in place. Some will allow the customer to print or copy the e-book, while others do not allow it.
If the publisher locks the file, there is no way for us to unlock it.
This message appears in green text on all e-books sold in our store that are secured by the publisher that owns the copyrights to the book:
"THIS E-BOOK IS SECURITY PROTECTED BY THE PUBLISHER. E-Books with security protection can be viewed on your computer or PDF book reader only and cannot be printed or copied in any form. These prohibitions are due to copyright limitations."
Any time you see this message on an e-book in our store, you will not be able to print, copy or paste any part of the book.
This is not something that we at Elijah List have decided to prevent our customers from doing… it is a decision that each publisher makes when they release their publication as a download item. We must abide by their decision if we sell the e-book in our store. |
| 6) I need to download my purchase again. Can I do that? |

Once you purchase a download item, the link is stored in your ElijahShopper account. If you need to download your files again, see the first help topic "1) How do I download my purchase?" for complete downloading instructions. |
| 7) What can I do if the music samples from this store will not play on my computer? |

All of the music sample links are in MP3 format, so most media players are able to play them. Consult your media player program "help" tab on your computer and make sure that the "mp3" file format is enabled. How this is done will vary by operating system and media player. |
| 8) I don't see my problem listed here... now what should I do? |

If you are still having problems with your download and none of the above topics are helping, we recommend that you reboot your computer and then try again. If you are still having a problem, please send an email to downloadsupport@elijahlist.net and include as much of the following information as possible so we can troubleshoot this problem for you:
(1) Your operating system (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac OSx, etc.). Include the version of your operating system, not just "Windows" or "Mac". (2) The Internet browser AND VERSION NUMBER you use (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, Opera, etc.) (3) The program your computer uses to UNZIP files (4) The program you use to play audio files (Windows Media Player, iTunes, QuickTime, RealPlayer, etc.) (5) The name of the anti-virus/internet security software that you use (Norton, McAfee, AVG, Avira, etc.) (6) The type of Internet service you use (DSL, Cable, Satellite, Dialup, etc.) and the name of your Internet Service Provider (Comcast, Verizon, etc.) (7) The type of device you are attempting to download your files to (PC, Laptop, iPad, iPhone, Android smartphone, etc).
In addition, please provide us with COMPLETE and EXACT WORDING of any error messages you see, which helps us pinpoint the problem. It is also helpful if you provide us with a complete description what you are experiencing (Does the download never start at all... Does the download start, but never finish... If it stops after starting, does it ALWAYS stop in the same place... Does the download start and then give you an error message? etc.). If you remember the exact spot in the download process where the problem occurs, this can also be very helpful.
Our download support team will respond to your email as soon as possible, USUALLY the next BUSINESS DAY. A BUSINESS day is defined as Monday through Friday, 8AM to 4PM Pacific Time, not including US Holidays. We do not have telephone support available for downloads at this time. Please do not call our store order department, as the order staff is not trained in download technical support and will not be able to assist you in any way. They will only instruct you to send an email to our support team at downloadsupport@elijahlist.net. |
