In current times, God is speaking much to His Church through the book of Esther. Esther is a type of the Bride. She approaches the King on behalf of her people, and the scepter of favor is extended to her (Esther 5:2).
The result of her actions was a profound change of circumstances: the Jews triumphed over their enemies, they found favor in the land, and they were given great authority (Esther 9 and 10). As our King extends His scepter, let us approach His Throne, beautified (Esther 2:12) and clothed in royal robes (Esther 5:1), for the King has chosen us for such a time as this.
