This is my favorite historical novel. Israel My Beloved expresses God's unfailing passion for His bride even as her unfaithfulness leads her into pain and despair. Israel's Husband, God, is faithful, patient, wise and compassionate as she journeys through her way back to her Husband. The characters remain the same throughout, but the settings and events change in keeping with history. This is a beautiful story of His Beloved from an eternal gaze. This book left my heart overwhelmed with feeling of how immense is the passion of God's love for us all. I believe that Kay Arthur received a special honor in Israel for this novel of their history.
