This is a timely and prophetic album for this season of change that many of us are going through.
Like it or not change is inevitable. Through its uncertainties, we find out what we're made of--faith or fear. In God's genius, even our resistance to change makes us grow. If we're not changing we're stagnating. If the air over your city stopped moving, pollution would eventually kill you. If a river lost its current, the water would soon stagnate and everything that lives in it would die. A perfect example is the Dead Sea; it receives but does not give out. That's why we're in transition right now--we need a change. He wants to make butterflies out of caterpillars. So embrace the change, resistance is futile. Everything is going to change.
Let this album and its message of change encourage you as you go through life's transitions!
Born and raised in Clearwater, Florida, Michael Tyrrell started playing guitar around the age of ten and later studied classical guitar with Joseph Lazarro, a protegee of Andre Segovia. While still a senior in high school, Michael was "discovered" and, shortly after graduation began touring with Young American Showcase.
After knowing success for several years however, his circumstances changed. Michael's life became filled with harsh realities and sorrows which began to derail his dream of having it all. During this time, an acquaintance introduced him to cocaine, and it quickly overtook all else in his life. One night, he realized he could go no further and decided to kill himself. In what he thought were his final conscious moments, he called out to God, saying, "Only You can save me now!"
To Michael's surprise, he awoke in the morning...... surrounded by the glory of the Lord's presence. During this time of cleansing and dying to self, God touched Michael and reformed him into a vessel for his own use.
Michael's heart and focus is now to network Christians for a greater impact on the world. Michael and his wife, Lillian, live in South Florida.
